Unfortunately, bugs are here to stay for a good while. While we may feel inclined to get irritated with their presence, it is important to remember their function in our environment. They all have a purpose. We posted some bug books for your enjoyment. Hopefully they will help you see bugs in a different light.

Objective: Learn about rhyming words and poetry through read-alouds and nursery rhymes. Create simple poems and engage in rhythm-based activities. Analyze different types of poetry and practice creative writing. Discuss poetic devices and their effect on meaning and mood.
