In order to prepare for big things in the library, first students need to get acquainted and reminded of the library expectations. Here are some library rules and procedures that we are discussing this week.


Objective: Continue Identifying Library rules & procedures/In-depth AR walk-through of expectations.


TEKS: §110.2 1A, B, D, E; 5C, 5D, 5E; §110.3 1A, B, D, E; §110.4 1A, B, D, E; §110.5 1A, B, D, E; §110.6 1A, B, D, E; §110.7 1A, B, D, E;


Materials/Resource: Egly Library Webpage Information Section, YouTube Read Aloud Video, Renaissance Learning (AR) website, Bamboozle website.

Activity: Read The Big Test.

Pre-Kinder: Letter E; Number 3; Shape: triangle; Color: blue;

Kindergarten: High Frequency Words: have, is, he. Read story of the week; Discuss: How did the characters

feel in each story? *Compare/Contrast the main characters in the story.

Practice library procedures.

1st: discuss & practice AR quizzes.

2nd-5th: discuss library setup i.e. Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biographies, Easy Fiction, Reference, e-magazines, e-books, & tablets.

All levels will discuss AR testing procedures & practice finding a book (fiction, non-fiction, easy fiction, biographies, graphic novels, etc.) using Bamboozle website.
