We will be reading Little Red Rhyming Hood in celebration of Poetry Month. This story is about a little girl who loved to rhyme, but the school bully made fun of her every day for doing so. Have a seat and read along with us to see what happens to this unlikely pair. Also, scroll below the story to learn how to create an Acrostic poem, our poem type of the week!

ACROSTIC POEM INSTRUCTIONS

Write the name of a person, place, thing, or action vertically, and write words to describe them across.

Example:

Every day

Glad to walk in through the doors

Looking forward to teaching

Youthful minds who explore
